The Lord has blessed Community Gospel with several children. Because of the activity and music during the praise and worship portion of the service, children usually love to participate by singing, dancing, or even waving a banner. However, when it comes time for special music or the sermon, they can get a bit restless. Not only does this distract the parent, it also can distract other people in the congregation.

When a need arises, God always supplies the need! He placed a special burden on Sis. Mary Jewel to start a nursery. Upon meeting Mary, you sense the deep love and passion she has for the Lord. That love overflows to extend to others - especially to the children. So when she asked to start this ministry, it was only a matter of weeks before we were up and running. |

Our nursery is well equipped to handle children from infancy through the age of five. As co-ordinator of this ministry, Sis. Mary Jewel ensures we are staffed with at least 2 people each week. In addition to the baby supplies (crib, play pen, changing table, etc.), we also have "play areas" for toddlers. Of course crayons, puzzles, and games are provided as well as a television for watching Veggie Tales!
