Music has always been an integral part of the church. King David was an accomplished musician. He not only wrote many songs or "psalms," he encouraged others to "sing unto the Lord." Even Moses, the man with the speech problem, sang unto the Lord. As a matter of fact, the Word tells us that our Father sings over us!
Our goal as a church is to fulfill the prophecy that was given to us many years ago - to be a praise unto the Lord. A very important piece to accomplishing our goal is the music we offer to the Lord as praise. Whether it be during congregational singing, special music, or a special musical program, all is done to bring honor to the name of Jesus! |
