The word Evangelism is one of those "Christianese" words that people tend to shy away from. I believe the essence of the word is to teach, educate, or enlighten others to a way of thinking and living. At Community Gospel, we take evangelism very seriously. We have the honor of sponsoring the evangelistic ministry of the Schaves. As you may have read in their bios, they travel extensively sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the Schaves, we have a part in souls being saved all over the world. We have also been able to sow funds into works in Tanzania and Uganda.
We have several people in the church who get invited to various churches to minister. Bro. Tom holds classes on his book, "Over the Wall." These classes have been a blessing to persons wanting information about what the Bible does not say about homosexuality. Sister Charlotte has blessed several congregations by powerfully ministering the Word, not only in music but also preaching. Sister Kim has blessed other congregations as she has preached some very anointed sermons. Periodically, the pastors accept invitations to speak at special meetings and conferences.
Whether it be sending someone to preach, sing, or teach, the Lord has blessed us with ministries to share.
