FUEL is the name of our youth group. Participants range in age from 12 thru graduation (from high school). FUEL meets every other Sunday at 4:30. Not only do they learn about Christian ethics, but also have fun doing it. Recently, FUEL decided to write birthday wishes to Pastor Jonathon and "decorate" his car. Of course, this was all done under the code of silence. FUEL is somewhat of a "techno room" furnished with mp3 chairs, video player, a writable wall, unique lighting, and of course ... lots of fun. If you are a parent looking for a safe, fun, and Christian environment, FUEL just might be what you are looking for! If you are a teen looking for a place to belong, we are waiting for you!

Kim Tope brings experience as a youth advisor during high school, leading her youth group in retreats, productions, prayer team and service projects . She also led her youth group chapter of a Junior Achievement small business organization.
She has been involved in Community Gospel Church since 2001 and has participated in various ministries, including XALT productions, prayer team, audio visual team and finance committee.
Kim also has professional experience in leading small groups. She oversees statewide programs that assist people with disabilities. She has a passion for empowering others to be the best they can be.
FUEL is a great way for kids to receive the support they need in ways that interest and encourage them. There's always food, fellowship and fun!

| Tara Bates has a variety of youth experience as a counselor for three summer camp programs and a basketball coach for YMCA programs. She is currently active as a “Big” for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Greater Houston area.
She has been involved with many service projects with organizations such as Starbuck’s, Museum of Health and Medical Science, Ronald McDonald House and Redd Elementary and the Houston Independent School District.
Tara has attended Community Gospel Church since 2005. She participates in the audio visual ministry and is a member of the finance committee and has performed in many XALT productions.
Tara is a full-time student pursuing a degree in Communication and she plans to enter the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work in Fall 2008.
