Empowering Christians
Do miracles still happen today? Do miracles happen in the GLBT community? What does the Bible say about healing? Does God really want to heal ME? Can God use ME? How do I remove that wall that is between me and God? How do I really forgive people that hurt me? How do I get rid of anger, unforgiveness, and bitterness that are robbing my joy? How do I let go of the past? How do I love my family and my spouse when they aren’t perfect? How do I pray for the sick? Does God really want to bless me? Am I worthy of His blessings?
These are some of the questions I have struggled with myself. I have been searching for the answers by asking God to help me understand Him and what He says in the Bible! Beginning January 3rd at 9:30am, we will be exploring healing in all of its aspects: physical, emotional, financial, spiritual. My prayer is that each one of us will be able to say without a doubt, "YES, God wants to bless me, heal me, deliver me, free me, and yes, use ME!" Please join us each Sunday in January at 9:30 in the Sunday School Room!

| RPI General Conference February 12-14 |
|
Reconciling Pentecostals International will be holding their General Conference February 12-14. When we were asked if RPI could hold their conference here at Community Gospel, we didn't have to hesitate very long before saying yes. The founder of RPI, Doug Clanton, has been a very good friend to CGC over the years. The conference will be February 12-14. For more details about the conference, you can go to their website, RPIfellowship.com. Of course we will certainly benefit from the conference being held here - hopefully we will get "the trio" to sing in our service Sunday morning and we may even get Doug to preach for us! If you plan to attend any of the meetings, you will need to register with RPI. Current members of Community Gospel are able to register and have the fees waived.

TransGenders of Faith Support Group is moving to the 2nd Monday evening of each month. We are praying this makes it easier for more TG folks to be here. If you are one of the thousands of people who feel you have been alienated from God because of your gender identity, you are STRONGLY encouraged to come and be a part of this loving and accepting group. There are no "dues" or "fees", just a place of Faith, Hope, and Love ... a place to call home! We hope to see you the 2nd Monday night of each month at 7:30. Read more about this ministry on the TGOF page of this website.

| Get Your Copy of "For Such A Time As This" |
|
"For Such A Time As This" is the story of the birthing of an incredible ministry. Evelyn Schave was one of those preachers from the "old school" condemning everything from make up (yes, even on women) to men with long hair - not to mention the "H" word. But something wonderful happened ... "God got a hold of her". Evelyn and her husband Dennis have changed their message to one of love and acceptance focusing on the GLBT community. Who would have thought a couple from the Pentecostal denomination would end up as Honorary Grand Marshals for the Gay Pride Parade? "For Such A Time As This" is the story of how this ministry began and how far they have come. While the initial printing of the book was several years ago, additional pictures and captions have given it a new life. If you would like your copy of "For Such A Time As This", please send your name and address with your request to: Community Gospel Church 608 Aurora Houston, TX 77008 We are not charging a fee for the book, but proceeds from donations will go for printing and shipping costs. All funds above these costs will go to Schave Ministries.
